Gordin, Jacob

Gordin, Jacob
   American Yiddish playwright and journalist. He was born in the Ukraine. He taught at a russified Jewish school in Yelizavetgradka, and in 1880 he founded the Spiritual Biblical Brotherhood. In 1891 he emigrated to the US, where he worked as a Yiddish journalist and wrote more than 100 Yiddish plays.
